Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is a Deluxe Resort located in the Animal Kingdom Resort Area. This horseshoe-shaped resort is inspired by the traditional African kraal and provides views of 2 savannas that are home to over 200 hoofed animals and birds. There’s one pool at this resort, Uzima Springs Pool. This pool faces the Uzima Savanna and is surrounded by a large canopy of trees and Floridian palms. This zero-entry pool holds more than 234,000 gallons of water along with a 67-foot-long waterslide! Just a short walk away at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani is the Samawati Springs Pool. this zero-entry pool has a 128-foot waterslide. Nearby is Uwanja Camp, a water playground with 3 areas for kids of all ages. Don’t forget to pop over to Departure Zone where you’ll find a leaky water tower and water cannons.
Guests can enjoy recreational activities such as an evening campfire and watching the animals on the savanna. Night vision goggles are provided for observing at dusk. Other amenities include a jogging trail, playground, Pumbaa’s Fun, and Games Arcade, self-service laundry, and movies under the stars. Zahanati Massage & Fitness Center features a workout facility, massages and more. Guests are transported to the theme parks and Disney Springs via complimentary buses.
Guests have several room categories to choose from. Standard View rooms have 2 queen beds or 1 king bed and can sleep 4 adults, with views of the parking areas or rooftop. Rooms can be upgraded to views of the pool or savanna. These rooms have 2 queen beds, 1 king bed, or 1 queen bed with a bunk bed. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge also offers a variety of rooms with Club Level access ranging from a Savanna View with 2 queen beds, a 1 or 2 bedroom suite, and the Royal Asante Presidential Suite. Club Level amenities include secured key access to the club-level lounge, serving refreshments and snacks (Continental Breakfast, Midday Snacks and Evening Wine, Cheese, Cordials, and Dessert) between 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily, access to Concierge Service at the Kilimanjaro Club, and complimentary health club access.
Quick service options here include The Mara, Uzima Springs Pool Bar, Cape Town Lounge and Wine Bar, and Victoria Falls Lounge. Table service restaurants Jiko – The Cooking Place and Boma – Flavors of Africa will delight you with African cuisine. Special dining options include Dine with an Animal Specialist, Jiko Wine Tasting, and Wanyama Safari and Dinner.
