Disney’s Contemporary Resort is a Deluxe Resort located in the Magic Kingdom Resort Area. It is one of 3 resorts on the monorail loop. This ultra-modern resort hotel is famous for it’s A-frame tower that opens in the center for the monorail to pass through, as well as offering spectacular views of the Magic Kingdom and Bay Lake.
The featured pool has views of the marina and white sand beaches. It also has a 17-foot-high curving water slide! There are 2 hot tubs and a splash area nearby. Poolside cabanas are available for rent by the hour or day.
Guests can enjoy recreational activities such as motorized boat rentals, fishing, lakeside yoga, and a view of the Electrical Water Pageant. Other amenities include a jogging trail, tennis, and movies under the stars. Guests are transported to the Magic Kingdom by monorail or walking path, Epcot by monorail, and the other theme parks and Disney Springs via complimentary buses.
Guests have several room categories to choose from in the main tower and the garden wing. Standard View rooms have 2 queen beds or 1 king bed in addition to 1 day bed. These rooms can sleep 5 adults, with views of the parking areas, or buildings. Rooms can be upgraded to views of the garden, lake, or theme park. Disney’s Contemporary Resort also offers a variety of rooms with Club Level access ranging from a Garden Wing – Standard View with 2 queen beds and 1 day bed, to a 1 or 2 Bedroom Suite. Club Level amenities include secured key access to the club-level lounge or hospitality suite, serving refreshments and snacks (Continental Breakfast, Midday Snacks and Evening Wine, Cheese, Cordials and Dessert) between 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily, access to Concierge Service at the King Kamehameha Club, and complimentary health club access.
Quick service dining options here include Contempo Café, The Sand Bar and Contemporary Grounds. Table service restaurants are The Wave… of American Flavors, Chef Mickey’s, and California Grill Lounge. Specialty dining options include Highway in the Sky Dine Around.
