Yak & Yeti Restaurant at a Glance

| | |

Yak & Yeti is a Table Service restaurant in the Asia section of Disney’s Animal Kingdom and one of the Professor’s favorite spots to eat at the park. The vibrantly decorated location opened in late 2017 and has remained largely the same since then, serving a menu of pan-Asian inspired fare in a beautiful Nepalese setting.

Yak & Yeti is one of many dining locations at Walt Disney World operated by Landry’s restaurant group. Other locations run by Landry’s include  The Rainforest Cafe and Via Napoli at Epcot. The location is themed around a quaint village hotel located at the foot of the Himalayan Mountains and is decorated with artifacts and antiques that the proprietor has collected during his travels through Southeast Asia.

The marvelous decor mixed with dark colors and ornate statues helps create a relaxing environment. This restaurant sits within steps of the Expedition Everest attraction and there are many references to the infamous Yeti spread throughout the dining rooms. Guests looking for a faster option can dine at the Yak & Yeti Local Food Cafes, an open-air quick service dining area adjacent to the restaurant.

The menu at Yak & Yeti features Asian inspired dishes. Guests can choose from a selection of small plates like pork potstickers, wok-fried green beans, and eggrolls as well as soups and salads. Specialty entrees like seared miso salmon and Asian seared tuna are notable standouts. There are also noodle bowls, wok dishes and vegetarian options available. One of our favorite dishes on the menu are the gigantic Korean BBQ ribs! The menu includes a shareable section as well, with dishes like Ahi tuna nachos and a dim sum basket meant for two guests.

Yak & Yeti has a fun beverage menu featuring specialty alcoholic and non-alcoholic concoctions as well as a selection of soft drinks, beer, wine, and saki. The specialty drinks all feature South Seas flavors and themes like the Big Bamboo and the South Seas Traveler. Guests can finish their meal with delectable desserts like mango pie, fried pineapple and cream cheese wontons, and chocolate pudding cake.
