Garden Grill At a Glance

| | |

The Garden Grill is a Character Dining Table Service restaurant located in The Land pavilion of Walt Disney World’s Epcot. This location serves a “family style” menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a unique setting with appearances from Mickey Mouse and a few of his friends. This restaurant also features a rotating dining room and offers dishes made with ingredients actually grown in the Land pavilion.

The Garden Grill has had a few minor changes since it debuted as the Good Turn Restaurant in the 1980s. Despite these revamps to its decor and theme, the location still offers guests the opportunity to enjoy a meal while taking in a rotating view of the Living with the Land attraction. The circular dining room slowly rotates throughout the meal allowing guests to get an inside look at scenes in the ride-through attraction. Bird’s eye views of backdrops and animatronics from a rainforest, farmhouse, thunderstorm, sandstorm and prairie scenes add a special ambiance to the experience. Seating mainly consists of half-circle booths and tables facing the outside of the restaurant, and elevated booths behind them, giving most guests a relatively good view of the scenes.

Garden Grill’s big draw for most families is the opportunity to eat with Disney characters. Currently, guests can enjoy Chip and Dale’s Harvest Feast featuring appearances by Mickey Mouse, Pluto, Chip, and Dale usually decked out in farmer attire. All four characters make their way around during the meals and visit with each dining party at least once posing for photos, signing autographs and offering up hugs.

The Garden Grill features an all-you-care-to-eat, family-style menu. This means that for a set price, each table is served large platters with items offered on the menu. Guests then serve themselves from the platters while waitstaff replenishes any dishes needed. This is a great way to make sure everyone in your family gets their fill, without the usual hustle and bustle of a buffet. For breakfast, guests can enjoy a classic lineup of items like scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, Mickey waffles and a gigantic cinnamon bun that could feed a small family! For lunch and dinner, savory favorites like sliced turkey, grilled beef, mashed potatoes, garden salad, and stuffing are available. A selection of wine and beer are available for adults as well.

One of our favorite aspects of Garden Grill and many other restaurants in Epcot is the use of fresh fruits and vegetables grown inside the greenhouse of Living with the Land. Guests can take a ride on the attraction and get a first-hand look at Cast Members working hard to grow and cultivate the same ingredients they can enjoy at their meal.

As with all Table Service locations at Walt Disney World, reservations are accepted beginning at 180 days prior to arrival and highly suggested. Garden Grill accepts Disney Dining Plans and requires 1 Table Service credit per person. A credit card is required for your reservation and a $10 per person no-show fee will be charged if you don’t show up or cancel at least 24 hours prior.
