High School Musical: The Series Will Return for a Sophomore Season

We’re all in this together, so you better get’cha head in the game! Disney+ will launch on November 12th will launch with tons of all-new content in addition to so many of our favorite Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel movies and television shows. Playing on fans of the original “High School Musical” franchise, Disney+ is launching “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.”

High School Musical was one of the biggest hits for Disney tweens in the early 00’s. Every girl wanted to be Gabriella and had a huge crush on Troy. The music was infectious and if you were like me, you secretly loved every note. Go Wildcats!

Disney+ has already anticipated a huge return from the new series and ahead of its debut on the streaming service, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series has been picked up for a second season! To celebrate, check out the casts reaction to the big news:

If you’re excited about the new series you’ll get your chance ahead of the Disney+ launch, you’re in luck! The first episode of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series will be televised across three networks—ABC, Disney Channel, and Freeform—on Friday, November 8 (8 p.m. ET/PT). The second episode will premiere Friday, November 15, on Disney+, with new episodes premiering on the streaming service every Friday.
