While Universal Orlando Resort offers guests a few options for onsite transportation, many guests prefer driving a car to and around the resort during their stay. The parking rules and fees vary between parks and hotels so we’ve created this handy guide to help you prepare.

Universal Orlando Resort Parking

Theme Parks and CityWalk

Most offerings at Universal Orlando Resort are within relatively close distance to each other. Guests can access CityWalk, Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Islands of Adventure, and Volcano Bay from a central hub connected to a massive split parking garage. This hub also contains security checkpoints for entering the resort.

The enclosed parking garage and hub feature moving sidewalks, escalators, elevators, on-site wheelchair rental, and an on-site kennel. The hub also contains bathrooms, souvenirs stand, and a food kiosk. Vehicles can leave the garage and return the same day by stopping at the toll plaza upon re-entry and presenting their parking ticket.

Guests visiting Volcano Bay should follow directional signs to the dedicated Volcano Bay parking section on the first level of the parking garage. From there, guests will board the complimentary Volcano Bay shuttle to the park’s entrance.

Universal parking garage areas are divided into sections with a character and number designation sign. To remember your spot, we recommend taking a photo of the sign.

Parking for Guests with Disabilities

From there eligible guests will be directed to designated spaces that are usually on the same level as the moving sidewalks. A valid disability parking permit is required.

Hotel Parking

Guests staying at a Universal Orlando Resort hotel who are parking a car during their stay can use standard overnight self-parking for a fee that varies by resort level. (Valet parking only available at Premier Resorts). Non-registered guests are discouraged from parking at the hotels with a parking fee that can be as high as $45 for over 30 minutes. For this reason, we recommend all day guests park at the central hub garage.
