A Walt Disney World vacation is a great chance to escape the real world and embrace your inner child. It may come as a surprise to some that the resort also has a number of romantic experiences perfect for couples. These offerings make a visit to Walt Disney World a popular choice for couples to celebrate the holiday of love, Valentine’s Day. From pampering spa experiences to exquisite dining, there’s enough to fill a few holidays. Let’s take a look at 5 of the best ways to have a “happily ever after” Valentine’s Day at Walt Disney World.
Pamper Yourself with a Spa Visit
Walt Disney World isn’t just about rides and characters. The resort has almost everything a guest could want in a vacation, including some relaxing options. If you and your sweetheart want to experience the ultimate in relaxation, you’ll want to take advantage of one of the resort’s world-class spas. Couples spa treatments are available as well as the ability to purchase treatments to be given as a gift. I know I’d be extremely excited to be gifted a massage for my next visit (I hope my wife is reading!). Spas can be found at most Deluxe Resorts and a few other locations. You don’t have to be a guest of the hotel to enjoy a treatment making this a great option whether you’re staying onsite or off. Appointments can be made by calling 407-WDW-SPAS.
Stay at a Deluxe Disney Resort
If you’re planning to take the love of your life for a Valentine’s vacation at Walt Disney World, you’ll want to stay in the lap of luxury. Disney’s Deluxe and Deluxe Villas resorts offer guests the highest level of accommodations and amenities with elegant and romantic touches. Couples can soak up the beauty of the South Seas at the Polynesian, or enjoy a room with stunning views of Cinderella Castle at the Contemporary. We highly recommend taking a romantic stroll on the Boardwalk’s waterfront at dusk. These resorts have some of the best theming and allow couples to truly relax and reconnect while enjoying their time together.
Surprise Your Sweetie with a Disney Floral Gift
If you’re checking in to your Walt Disney World hotel and want to start your romantic day with a surprise, you can arrange an In-Room Celebration. These packages are offered through Disney Floral and Gifts and include many options to start your enchanted day. Guests can arrange packages including balloons, flowers, plushes, and even a glass slipper! Many options can be personalized, but items like the glass slipper require a few days of advanced notice. You can choose your delivery date at purchase, and your romantic celebration will be delivered to your Walt Disney World onsite hotel. This means that you can arrange to have your package arrive while you are out so that your loved one discovers it upon arrival. Disney Floral and Gifts packages can be purchased at the official site here.
Enjoy a Signature Dining Experience
Walt Disney World has over 400 restaurants at the resort. From hotdogs to sushi, there’s something to please every palate and pocketbook. But let’s be honest, the churro cart is probably the last place you want to take your sweetie for a romantic meal. Luckily the resort also offers Signature Dining locations serving some of the finest cuisines in the state. In Disney Springs, couples can enjoy options like top-notch seafood at The Boathouse or authentic Spanish fare at Jaleo. Epcot has some of the resorts best options like steak dinner at Le Cellier, or aesthetically pleasing Japanese dishes at Takumi-Tei. Many of the Deluxe Resorts offer Signature Dining as well. We highly recommend a meal at California Grill with views of the Magic Kingdom.
Watch the ‘Happily Ever After’ Fireworks
Walt Disney World is well known for its nightly fireworks shows. Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios all offer dazzling pyrotechnic displays that are included in park admission. While all of these shows are not to be missed, there’s one that tops the list for a romantic evening. Happily Ever After at the Magic Kingdom is an impressive state-of-the-art firework and light projection show that happens at Cinderella Castle. The show is a celebration of classic Disney characters and their drive to make their dreams come true, and find their own happy ending. To make viewing a truly romantic experience, we recommend combining the show with a special experience. Couples can purchase admission to the park’s Fireworks Dessert Party which serves a selection of delectable treats combined with reserved viewing for the show. However you choose to experience it, there’s no better way to end Valentine’s Day at Walt Disney World and start your “happily ever after”.
