Ka-Chow! The Car’s Family Suites at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort just got a slick new refurbishment! Before the renovation, the rooms had carpets and a darker look to the walls and rooms. The changes in the Cars Family Suites aren’t as dramatic as some of the other upgrades, but they are definitely noticeable.
There isn’t carpet in the suite any longer and it was replaced with hard surface flooring. Disney has been taking out carpet in most rooms due to allergies. The new lighter color scheme has dramatically brightened the rooms as well! Other touches like the interactive Smart TV’s that are going into all resort rooms have also been added.
You can still see a lot of Pixar/Cars influences in the room and we love the stainless steel look on the dressers. It’s very “auto shop” looking.
All of the original artwork has remained and the kitchenette is the same in the room, and it features a mini-refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, and sink. The bathrooms are cleaner and brighter looking but, for the most part, the same.
The rooms are freshly painted and now the bedroom features a flat-screen smart TV on the wall.
