Disney+ has been rolling out new content at a steady rate over the last few months. To help families stuck at home during the outbreak of COVID-19, the streaming service has been keeping Disney fans entertained with many new shows and movies. Now we know of a new behind the scenes series that will take viewers “into the unknown” with a look at the making of the biggest animated film of all time, Frozen 2.
Into the Unknown: Making Frozen 2 will be a six-part documentary series that follows the cast and crew of the hit animated sequel as they work during the final year of production. All six episodes will be released at once, making it perfect for binge-watching with the family.

Disney released a Tweet teasing the new show as well as some details of what to expect:
“With the clock ticking and less than a year until the world premiere of Frozen 2, the filmmakers, artists, songwriters and cast open their doors to cameras for a six-part documentary series to reveal the hard work, heart, and collaboration it takes to create one of the most highly-anticipated films in Walt Disney Animation Studios’ near-century of moviemaking. For the first time, cameras were there to capture an eye-opening – and at times jaw-dropping – view of the challenges and the breakthroughs, the artistry, creativity and the complexity of creating the #1 animated feature of all time.“
Into the Unknown: Making Frozen 2 will debut all episodes to Disney+ on June 26. We plan to pair this with a viewing of another behind the scenes Disney+ show we love, Prop Culture, which gives viewers a retroactive look at the making of other beloved Disney classics.
