We just announced a few moments ago that LEGOLAND Florida will be working toward a June 1st reopening, and now we have another opening to announce.
Water park, Island H2O Live! has just announced they will be reopening on May 23rd. As part of the reopening, Island H2O Live! will be implementing new “Safe-Splash Guidelines,” which include limiting park capacity, installing signs and ground markers to promote social distancing, adding hand sanitizer stations and increasing cleaning efforts throughout the park.
Visitors will need to undergo a verbal screening when they arrive at the park. They will be asked screening questions such as whether they have had contact with someone known to have COVID-19 or if they have experienced certain symptoms in the last 72 hours.
Employees will also undergo the verbal screening as well as a temperature check. Employees will also be required to wear masks. Visitors are encouraged to do so. But masks are not allowed in the water or on slides.
“We are excited to reopen and provide an entertaining break from the day-to-day world,” general manager Jim Kunau said in a statement. “We look forward to providing wonderful memories for our guests and their families.”
Island H2O Live!, submitted a reopening plan to the state that included a proposed reopening date as well as proposed guidelines to keep staff and visitors safe, according to a news release. Those plans were endorsed by the Osceola County Administrator.
