With all of us eagerly awaiting the reopening of Walt Disney World and its hotels, we now have some new details to share on how Disney is preparing for the return of guests. Today, Katie Kelly, Vice President of Worldwide Safety Services, released a statement covering some of the ways the company will combat the spread of COVID-19 when hotels at Walt Disney World reopen on June 22. Among new cleaning procedures, guests can expect many new enhancements to their stay like online check-in and limited contact purchase points at registers.
Katie Kelly said in her statement “our health and safety team has taken a close look at the experiences at our hotels, from resort and room cleaning to check-in, dining and entertainment, so you can have a magical visit with peace of mind. During your stay, you’ll find updates and enhancements made with health and safety in mind, in line with the guidance of health and government authorities.” Disney also released a video to help better illustrate what to expect when you check in to the resort.
We are glad to see the resort is going above and beyond to prepare for guests return, and we will continue to bring you all of the reopening news as it’s released.
