There are many iconic snacks that are associated with Walt Disney World. From giant turkey legs to Mickey Premium ice cream bars, there’s something to please almost every guest. Easily known as the most popular snack at the resort, Dole Whip has been delighting visitors since its debut at Magic Kingdom and Disneyland in 1986. This frosty treat is made from pineapple soft serve ice cream and comes in a variety of variations. Originally the snack could only be found at Magic Kingdom and Disneyland Park, but since its premiere has been rolled out to various other parks and hotels with new flavors added. Let’s take a look at some of our favorite places to enjoy this tropical treat at Walt Disney World!
Aloha Isle (Adventureland, Magic Kingdom)
Our first stop for a Dole Whip is at its original home in Magic Kingdom. Aloha Isle is a walk-up window that serves Dole Whip in cups as well as served as a float with pineapple juice. Flavors include standard pineapple, vanilla, or a swirl of the two. You can also get your Dole Whip served in a collectible souvenir tiki bowl. You can find Aloha Isle next door to the Enchanted Tiki Room.
Pineapple Lanai (Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort)
The Polynesian Resort is Walt Disney World’s South Pacific themed hotel. With it’s tropical theming it’s no surprise that this resort is also a great place to find a Dole Whip. Here you can find the usual cups and floats, but this location has a special offering you can’t get at Magic Kingdom: Dole Whip with a rum floater! This location also offers souvenir tiki bowls and sippers to add some flair to your snack.
Marketplace Snacks (Disney Springs)
Disney Springs is Walt Disney World’s center for dining, shopping, and entertainment. It’s also a great place to grab a Dole Whip! If you’re feeling the craving for a tropical break during your shopping spree, head to the Marketplace Snacks window across from Marketplace Co-Op. Not only can you enjoy a Dole Whip cup or float, but this location also offers Dole Whip Nachos. This delightful creation features waffle cone chips topped with Dole Whip, passion fruit boba pearls, fresh pineapple, strawberry sauce, whipped cream and rainbow sprinkles.
Tamu Tamu Refreshments (Disney’s Animal Kingdom)
Animal Kingdom offers a full day of wild exploration and fun, but it’s also known as one of Walt Disney World’s hottest parks during the Summer months. When you’re ready to cool off after a safari ride or journey on a banshee, make your way to Tamu Tamu Refreshments in the Africa section of the park. Here you’ll find Dole Whip cups and floats as well as a few options featuring the addition of rum! The major standout here is the King’s Cooler which contains Dole Whip Pineapple with watermelon, strawberry, and coconut-flavored syrup served with Plantation Dark Rum or Parrot Bay Coconut Rum.
Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto (Disney’s Polynesian Resort)
Heading back to the Polynesian, this next spot for Dole Whips is also an iconic Disney watering hole. Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto is the East Coast version of the beloved Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar at the Disneyland Hotel. This magical oasis features some of the tastiest drinks at the resort combined with Disney’s masterful theming and a touch of magic. If you’re looking for a Dole Whip cocktail, you’ll want to order the Spikey Pineapple. This frosty beverage is a combination of Dole Whip soft-serve and Barbancourt Pango Rhum that will surely cool you off!
