Disneyland Reaches Agreements with Employee Unions for Return to Work

| | |

In both Walt Disney World in Florida and Disneyland in California, unions represent a large majority of employees. This morning, the OC Register is reporting that 11 of these unions have signed an agreement to allow Disneyland to bring employees back as soon as it is possible.

The agreement was in place to ensure their workers, and Disney, complied with a host of new COVID-19 health and safety measures in place.

We are coming up on the 7th month Disneyland has been closed with no word on when it will reopen. However, Disneyland will be ready when California Governor Gavin Newsom finally gives direction and a plan to reopen.

Yesterday in a press conference, California Health and Human Services Secretary Mark Ghaly said “I know a number of people are continuing to wonder when that guidance is coming out and I like to say, ‘It will come out when we’re ready.’”  “We’re working closely with our industry partners making sure that we take all feedback, use our own information from visits to operating parks in other states and then some visits here in parts of California to understand how those plans will come together.”- OC Register
