There are still some parts of the country that require a negative COVID-19 test to avoid quarantine when you have visited Florida. To combat this, the Orlando International Airport has set up a temporary COVID-19 rapid testing site allowing travelers to return home with their negative results.
The COVID-19 testing site from Centra Care is located before the security checkpoint on the third level of Orlando International Airport. Currently, their hours are Thursday through Monday, from 7:30 am to 3 pm. They are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
We were traveling back to NY from Orlando and needed a negative COVID-19 to avoid a mandatory 10-day quarantine. Last week we scheduled an appointment online for the site in the Orlando International airport for the day we traveled home and were able to get in and out in about 20 minutes and our negative results about 15 minutes after that.
If you need a negative test to return after your trip to Orlando, this site is very helpful! It says walk-ins are welcome, but it is a much longer wait. We scheduled online and were able to get in and out in a reasonable amount of time.
