Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is one of the most beloved resort hotels at the Walt Disney World Resort. It has been closed for several months to undergo some big changes. However, in just a couple of weeks, it will open its doors to guests once more. This reopening is just in time for the 50th anniversary starting on October 1, 2021.
Starting on July 19, guests will be welcomed back with a newly enhanced porte-cochere. This new entrance features the gorgeous mid-20th century architecture that is a staple at the resort.
The front desk and concierge services will move back to the Great Ceremonial House. Currently, these services are found at Pago Pago but will be closing when the resort reopens.
Disney’s Magical Express and valet services will be available under the porte-cochere.
Although most amenities will be available, the renovation of the monorail station continues. Monorail service to and from the resort remains unavailable. The front entrance to the Great Ceremonial House will also open at a later date but cast members will be available to assist guests as they use the side entrance.
