This year is a big year for Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando. Celebrating 30 years of horrors, this special ticketed event is set to be the best one yet. This is your complete guide to Halloween Horror Nights. It includes everything you need to know about this spooky event.

Halloween Horror Nights take place on select nights at Universal Studios Florida. This is a separately ticketed event with unique offerings to guests that are not available during normal park hours. This year, the event runs from September 3 to October 31, starting at 6:30 pm and closing times vary. It features haunted houses, scare zones, live entertainment, and more.

Universal Orlando Resort guests will have a dedicated priority entrance to Halloween Horror Nights. In addition, guests can purchase a ticket that allows them to “stay and scream”, with earlier access to the park. Guests will wait in select areas for the event to begin. This year, those areas are located at Delancy, Springfield, and the TODAY Cafe.

Guests can also purchase add-ons for this event including Express Passes, daytime tours, and nighttime tours.

Halloween Horror Nights Express Pass allows guests to skip the regular line one time at all haunted houses and at participating rides and attractions.

The R.I.P. tours are guided V.I.P. walking tours of the event. There is priority V.I.P. entry to haunted houses and these tours can be done with other fans or as a private tour.

There is also a daytime tour called “Behind the Screams: Unmasking the Horror Tour”. This is a V.I.P. tour with a lights-on look at the Halloween Horror Nights haunted houses.

This event may be too intense for young children and it is not recommended for children under 13 years of age.

Netflix’s “The Haunting of Hill House”

Enter Hill House if you dare but beware of its ghostly inhabitants. The house seems to come alive as you hear those trapped for all time echoing throughout.

Based on the original film, enter the world of the infamous Bio-Exorcist as he haunts and taunts to send you screaming. Do you dare to say his name? Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice.

“The Texas Chainsaw Massacre”

Enter the home of the sadistic Sawyer family, based on the 1974 classic movie. You’ll be greeted by Leatherface himself, along with carving knives, blades, meat cleavers, and a roaring chainsaw! Make your way through and try to make it out in one piece.

“Universal Monsters: The Bride of Frankenstein Lives”

This bride will stop at nothing to bring Frankenstein’s monster back to her.

“Welcome to SCarey: Horror in the Heartland”

No one escapes from Carey. This is a place where bad things just happen. The small town is filled with creatures and maniacs who are out for blood.

“Case Files Unearthed: Legendary Truth”

Follow the investigation into the supernatural as you are led into a dark world of terror. However, the trail leads to horrifying creatures and ghouls guaranteed to give you a fright.

“The Wicked Growth: Realm of the Pumpkin”

You won’t break free from the vines of the Pumpkin Lord. He’s aiming to capture you in his ever-growing evil.

“Puppet Theatre: Captive Audience”

In this deserted theatre, the puppeteer and a ballet troupe have been trapped for years. Now they want to turn you into a human puppet and they’re not looking for applause. They want your screams!

“Revenge of the Tooth Fairy”

The tradition of the tooth fairy is not so innocent. Here, there’s a darker ritual – it’s an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.

“HHN ICONS: Captured”

Straight out of your worst nightmares, all of the characters from the last 30 years of Halloween Horrors come together to give you the biggest fright of all.

Scare Zones

Universal Orlando Announces Five More Original Haunted Houses, Five Scare Zones and Two Shows

This year, the haunted houses are not the places you will scream. There are five all-new scare zones throughout the park featuring hundreds of “scareactors”. These horror icons, beings from another world, and more will stalk you and guarantee that you feel the horror in the streets of Universal Studios Florida.

  • “Crypt TV” – Guests enter the monstrous universe of iconic horror stories
  • “30 Years, 30 Fears” – Escape the frights of past scare zones from 30 years of Halloween Horror Nights
  • “Seek and Destroy” – Try to resist the alien cyber regime overtaking a future dystopia
  • “Gorewood Forest” – run from the wrath of the Terra Queen and her rooted, evil plans
  • “Lights, Camera, Hacktion: Eddie’s Revenge” – Guests will witness a box office “slash” in this scare zone

Live Shows

Marathon of Mayhem: Carnage Factory – This new nighttime show takes place on the Universal Studios Lagoon. It features visions of fright celebrating the history of Halloween Horror Nights. Be on the lookout for top names in horror that are featured in the event this year.

Halloween Nightmare Fuel – This new show features fire performers, nighttime creatures, and aerialists. The performance is set to rock, metal, and electronica music.

The Food

This year, there is an expansive new menu at this even that cannot be missed! These all-new options were designed by the executive chef and culinary team at Universal Orlando and themed after some of the biggest names at this year’s event.

For example, there are meat dishes sliced to perfection to make Leatherface proud.
