The “Candlelight Processional” Returns to EPCOT

As a part of their Halfway to the Holidays Celebration, Disney gave a sneak peek of what is in store this holiday season at the Walt Disney World Resort. Today, however, more exciting news has been announced! The beloved “Candlelight Processional” returns this year, as a part of the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays.

The “Candlelight Processional” is a beloved tradition at the Disney Parks, dating back to 1958 at Disneyland Park. At Walt Disney World, this show started in 1971 and was initially at the Magic Kingdom. It came to EPCOT in 1994.

This year, the production returns to the America Gardens Theatre with a live orchestra, cast choir, and celebrity narrator retelling the traditional Christmas story. The show runs from November 26 through December 30.

All performers are required to be fully vaccinated including cast members, musicians, singers, and narrators. Therefore, instead of hosting choirs from community groups and schools, the cast member choir is expanding to ensure that the show is heartwarming and the stage is filled with voices.

The schedule of celebrity narrators is still being confirmed. In addition, details for the “Candlelight Processional” Dining packages are coming at a later date. Stay tuned! We will share those details as they become available!
