The Disney Genie+ has arrived at the Walt Disney World Resort. This all-new system is designed to help guests maximize their time in the parks. This is your complete guide to Disney Genie+, with everything you need to know about this new service.

What is the Disney Genie+?

First, let’s talk about the Disney Genie Service. This all-new service is built into the My Disney Experience app and offers complimentary features to help you plan your day at the Walt Disney World theme parks. Select your interests such as dining, characters, and attractions that you want to experience during the day. The Disney Genie will help you navigate through the park and adjust its recommendations based on your interests. It continues to offer recommendations throughout the day.

Plus, there is a custom tip board where you can see estimated wait times for attractions, order food, check-in for a dining reservation, join a virtual queue, and more. This is all found within the My Disney Experience and there is no charge to use these new tools.

The Disney Genie+ is an additional feature that works with the Disney Genie. When you upgrade to Genie+ for $15 per person, per day. This paid service allows you access to over 40 attractions and experiences with shorter wait times. You select Lightning Lane arrival times throughout the day, and if you have the park hopper option, across all four theme parks.

How Does It Work?

Purchase the Disney Genie+ one day at a time once you have arrived.

Since guests select their first option starting at 7:00 am, be sure to purchase before 7:00 am on the day of your visit.

Starting at 7:00 am on the day of your visit, guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel can choose from over 40 attractions, one at a time throughout the day. Continue to choose Lightning Lane arrival windows throughout the day, until the parks close. Please note that experiences are subject to limited availability.

Benefits of Disney Genie+

This new service is a change from the previous guest experience at the Walt Disney World Resort. However, it offers increased flexibility and ease of planning. This will result in guests being able to maximize their park time and experience all of those must-do attractions throughout the day.

Guests can add Disney Genie+ to their tickets daily. It’s important to purchase this before 7:00 am if you decide to do so because you may begin selecting your return times for attractions starting at 7:00 am

There is no longer a need to know exactly what attractions you want to do 60 days in advance. In fact, with this new service, guests decide on the morning of their park visit what they want to. If plans change for any number of reasons, it’s easy to adjust accordingly based on availability.

Also, it is important to remember that this is an optional service and stand-by lines will still be available. This service is designed to give guests a positive experience in the parks by reducing time in lines and adding some fun extras. A combination of the three components may be utilized throughout your visit, in addition to your travel advisor’s guidance.
