One of the best parts of visiting Walt Disney World is getting to see your favorite characters in real life! There is just something so special about meeting your favorite princess in person that brings a little joy to your heart. They make your vacation just a little more magical!
Before the pandemic, there were tons of places to meet and greet characters. Since the parks reopened, that has slightly changed. There are fewer places to see them and “meeting” the Princesses is a little different now.
To make your next trip to the parks a little more magical, we put together this list of the current locations to meet Disney’s Princesses at Magic Kingdom! Hopefully, you are lucky enough to be able to have a special moment with your favorite princess.
Disney Princesses at Magic Kingdom
A Royal Princess Processional
Magic Kingdom has a cavalcade(shortened parade) that runs several times a day. You will generally see this at least once an hour. The Royal Princess Processional runs from Frontierland through the park down the normal parade route finishing at the backstage entrance by the Train Station on Main Street USA. You can find showtimes in the My Disney Experience app.
All of the Princesses will appear on a large parade float with some either walking behind or on a horse! During the holidays you may even see additional floats with one or two characters on them as well. You will typically see these Princesses:
- Aurora
- Jasmine
- Elena
- Ariel
- Belle
- Snow White
- Cinderella
- Fairy Godmother
- Merida
Disney did announce that the Festival of Fantasy parade will be returning to Magic Kingdom in 2022. When that full parade returns, cavalcades may no longer happen.
Main Street USA Train Station Greet & Wave
Once the Royal Processional has ended the princesses head to the Main Street USA train station to wave at guests and interact from above. There is no set schedule for them, and sometimes it doesn’t happen at all at the conclusion of the cavalcade.
But, if you are lucky, you will get the opportunity to wave and take photos with them from afar! If you are really lucky, you will get to be in a good spot to have them walk past as they return to the backstage area!
Princess Fairytale Hall
We are very happy to report that the Princesses have returned to Fairytale Hall for a meet and greet! Just late fall we were delighted to see that character meet and greet opportunities had returned to the parks. The Princesses coming back to Fairytale Hall is such a wonderful sight.
You will find four princesses there at any given time. They are listed in the My Disney Experience app. Fairytale Hall is located in Fantasyland across from the carousel.
While you are still able to have one-on-one time with the Princesses individually, it is a little different than before. Character meet and greets are now touch-free. You will be able to go in and take photos while maintaining social distancing, ensuring you and the princess are able to both have a safe experience. The Princess will be behind a rope & guests will need to keep their masks on throughout the interaction and photo. If you want to meet all 4, you will have to wait in 2 different queues. They only have 2 princesses per line.
These Princesses rotate through at Princess Fairytale Hall:
- Rapunzel
- Tiana
- Cinderella
- Elena
