Whether it’s watching the holiday parade, experiencing attractions with a special seasonal layover, or enjoying festive treats, there is something for everyone and so much to love about the Disneyland Resort! This is your complete guide to the Holidays at Disneyland Resort.

This year, the Holiday season at the Disneyland Resort kicks off on November 11, 2022, and lasts until January 8, 2023. With the return of character hugs and so much more magic, you won’t want to miss a moment this holiday season! Check out the details.

Disneyland Park

Feel the magic of the holiday season from the moment you arrive at Disneyland Park. As you enter the park, feast your eyes on the 60-foot-tall Christmas tree on Main Street, U.S.A. as well as festive décor all over the park.

In Town Square, be on the lookout for some of your favorite Disney characters, some of which will be decked out in their holiday best including new outfits!

Attractions

During the holiday season, two beloved attractions at Disneyland Park experience epic festive transformations.

“it’s a small world” Holiday

This park classic gets a merry makeover as the children’s chorus sings the theme song “It’s A Small World (After All)” and traditional holiday favorites. The façade of the attraction is decorated with hundreds of lights for the season. Don’t miss the lighting each evening!

Haunted Mansion Holiday

This classic attraction receives a merry makeover that may still have you screaming! Each fall, the Pumpkin King, Jack Skellington, gets busy decorating the Haunted Mansion. He adds festive holiday touches inspired by Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. The citizens of Halloween Town are waiting for you including Sally, Oogie Boogie, and more!

A Christmas Fantasy Parade

Join Santa Claus and many beloved Disney characters on a merry jaunt down Main Street, U.S.A. Featuring marching toy soldiers, gingerbread friends, and of course Mickey and Minnie Mouse, you won’t want to miss this parade celebrating the most magical time of the year!

Be sure to grab a seat early, especially if you plan to watch from Main Street, U.S.A. The parade starts near “it’s a small world” and. Please note that showtimes are subject to change. Check the Disneyland mobile app for dates and showtimes.

“Believe…In Holiday Magic”

Look to the skies and witness the magic of the holidays during this festive firework show featuring pyrotechnics, holiday music, and snow!

Fireworks will fill the skies as Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle sparkles with over 80,000 twinkling lights and “icicles”. Then, enjoy a wintry snowfall as you walk down Main Street, U.S.A. or over to “it’s a small world” Holiday.

Attractions

Mater’s Jingle Jamboree

Mater junkyard gets a festive makeover. As you twirl around in your holiday-themed tractor, listen to him singing some classic holiday tunes!

Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl

Luigi and his family are ready for the holidays! Head over for a merry spin in an Italian classic car in his festive backyard as Luigi sings and the cars dance along to the songs!

World of Color – Season of Light

Watch the wonder of water, light, Disney stories, and songs combined with holiday magic during this seasonal show. Blending Disney classics such as Cinderella with contemporary favorites like Frozen, all of your favorite Disney moments are brought to life! This delightful show is the perfect way to end your evening in the park and is sure to be a part of your family’s holiday tradition for years to come!

Disney Festival of the Holidays

This festival celebrates the holidays around the world with diverse cultural festivities including music, food, and more.

Highlights of this festival include:

  • Mickey’s Happy Holidays: a dance party featuring Mickey and his pals, along with Holiday Toy Drummers
  • Disney Characters: Meet beloved Disney friends including Mirabel from the Disney animated film Encanto
  • Live Music: Live performances celebrating the diversity of Southern California
  • Festive Foods Marketplace: Enjoy sips and bites inspired by cultures and holidays around the world. Stay tuned for more details and full menus.

Disney ¡Viva Navidad!

Enjoy authentic holiday music, dance, and décor at this lively celebration of Hispanic culture combined with a little bit of Disney magic. From a street party featuring cultural traditions from Mexico and Brazil with live performers to a special event celebrating Three Kings’ Day, you won’t want to miss this celebration taking place in Paradise Gardens.

Downtown Disney District and the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort

Head to the Downtown Disney District to enjoy beautiful décor and fun photo opportunities. There will be musical entertainment and special offerings from various shops and restaurants. You are sure to find holiday gifts for the whole family when you browse a full range of boutiques and shops.

Then, you won’t want to miss an opportunity to check out the three hotels of the Disneyland Resort. Each resort hotel will feature beautiful Christmas tree displays, carolers, and visits from Santa Claus.

In addition, the culinary team at the Disneyland Resort will once again bring to life its annual gingerbread house display at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa.
