Whether you are taking a trip with your partner or want a night out without the kids… There are a lot of places to dine at Walt Disney World that will set the mood for a romantic night out! When you think of dining at Walt Disney World, you may think of the family-friendly character dining options like Topilino, Chef Mickey’s, Cinderella’s Royal Table, and Crystal Palace. However, Walt Disney World has a lot of great romantic fine-dining options.
We took some time to showcase several places that offer the perfect atmosphere for a couples night out at Walt Disney World:
Topolino Terrace- Disney’s Riviera Resort
Topolino has quickly skyrocketed to our top pick for dining locations at Walt Disney World. You NEVER have a bad meal there! Breakfast offers bird’s-eye views and the opportunity to meet some of your favorite Disney friends for a perfect photo and autograph opportunity! You may mingle with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, and Daisy Duck. But the food… Oh, man, is it so good! However, do not skip out on dinner at Riviera Resort!
For dinner, indulge in fresh, delicious seafood and meat dishes, handmade pasta, and decadent desserts infused with French and Italian flavors at this signature rooftop dining experience straight from the Riviera. Dining is a true experience, prepared at the exclusive expo kitchen or wood-burning grill. Pair your meal with a glass of wine from the impressive collection sourced from the Mediterranean coast. Inspired by the cliffside restaurants of France and Italy, Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera takes its name from the Italian name for Mickey Mouse. Feast your eyes on the stunning visual aesthetic, a modern interpretation of the textures, colors, carved details and stonework found in ancient villages along the Riviera. There is also a beautiful terrace where you can get a front-row seat to the fireworks at Epcot!
Le Cellier-EPCOT
The ambient lighting and mouth-watering steak options make Le Cellier one of our favorite places to dine as a couple or with other adults at EPCOT. Reminiscent of a chateau-style hotel, with stone arches and romantic candle sconces throughout, this restaurant offers a delicious array of options. Whether it’s the poutine fries or one of the signature entrees, your palate will not be disappointed.
Located in the Canada pavilion, Le Cellier offers a signature dining experience and an incredible menu. The servers are attentive and know exactly what to suggest to pair with your meal from the drink menu. They have an extensive offering of beer, mixed drinks, and wine to pair with the perfect steak! The menu includes such favorites as Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup, Le Cellier Filet Mignon, Maple Whiskey-glazed Brussels Sprouts, and Maple Crème Brûlée.
The Signature Dining location offers meal pricing from $35 to $59.99 per adult, and dining reservations are required.
Coral Reef- EPCOT
Another favorite place to have a date night is Coral Reef Restaurant in the Seas Pavilion at EPCOT. While you will find families enjoying their meals at this popular dining spot, it is all theater seating, with the room dimly lit by an incredible aquarium! Not only is there a great seafood menu, but there is also a fantastic view from any table in the restaurant.

The booths and tables are all facing a natural living coral reef! Panoramic windows give every table an insider view into the extraordinary underwater world of The Seas with Nemo & Friends. The Seas is one of the largest man-made ocean environments on the planet and holds enough water to fill 54 Olympic-sized swimming pools! Marine scientists have designed the meticulously crafted habitat to enrich the lives of approximately 2,000 sea creatures—more than 60 aquatic species!—that call The Seas home. As you dine, look for sharks, sea turtles, and rays as they swim in this wondrous coral reef. You may even spot a scuba-diving Mickey enjoying the underwater fun! If you are looking for a place to propose, you can even have Mickey dive with a sign that says, “will you marry me?” (This has to be prearranged for a fee)
Steakhouse 71- Disney’s Contemporary Resort
Formally The Wave, Steakhouse 71 is quickly becoming our favorite place to dine at Walt Disney World for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The new menu has dishes inspired by Walt’s favorites, including The Steakhouse 71 Feast or Walt’s Prime Rib Hash for breakfast and French Onion Soup, Prime Rib, 6-oz Filet Mignon or Dry-aged Bone-In Pork Chop for lunch or dinner. Classic cocktails and a portfolio of Disney family wines are also available. There isn’t anything on this menu that will disappoint, which makes it a top spot for a romantic night together!
If you want a nightcap, Steakhouse 71 Lounge offers comfortable seating to sip on beverages reminiscent of the 1970s. Enjoy drinks inspired by the history of the area, including cocktails that evoke scents of citrus groves, and so much more. They also offer modern interpretations of classic dishes, such as PB&J Chicken Wings, Loaded Macaroni and Cheese and the house classic Bacon and Eggs.
Jiko, The Cooking Place- Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
Jiko has only just reopened but is a great place to dine with a view! Watch chefs prepare appetizers in the open show kitchen. After dinner, stroll through Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge grounds to encounter more than 30 species of African wildlife in lush, natural habitats. If that doesn’t scream “romance,” I don’t know what does… The menu is a delicious blend of traditional African, Indian and Mediterranean cuisine. Steak, chicken, seafood and plant-based dishes are infused with a bold blend of tantalizing flavors and fragrant spices. Twin wood-burning ovens roar as subtly changing light mimics the warm red, orange and gold tones of an African sunset.
For a sweet finish, the returning Kilimanjaro dessert is gorgeous and delicious. Decadent dark chocolate mousse, pistachio financier, pink peppercorn meringue, cacao nib crunch, and ras el hanout pineapples – what could be better?
California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
California Grill would have been our top pick for romantic dining spots a few years ago. But it is still a sentimental favorite for us. Our first time there, we happened to have one of the best seats in the house just as the fireworks at Magic Kingdom began. The table next to us was a young couple, and the young man proposed to his girlfriend just as it began. Not only does Cali Grill offer some great views, but the whole atmosphere is also incredible.
The only reason it wouldn’t be our first pick any longer is the price you pay for a menu that is just “ok.” You can have a much better meal at a place like Topolino or Steakhouse 71. With that being said, you are paying for the experience! The menu has been adapted for the 50th Anniversary Celebration and will return on April 1st to a more traditional offering. But currently, you have the following options:
Sit down to a 3-course tasting experience offering dishes designed to bring this celebration to life—from succulent steak and seafood to flavorful plant-based options. You may choose:
- One Appetizer
Begin your meal with tasty starters like the California Grill Sushi Classics Trio, plant-based Vegetable Dumplings, Braised Beef Short Rib Wontons or Artisanal-style Duck à l’Orange Pizza—inspired by a popular entrée on the menu when Top of the World first opened in 1971. - One Entrée
Choose from delicious dishes, such as Oak Fired Filet of Beef, Grilled Pork Tenderloin and Black Grouper. For a plant-based option, consider the House-made Bucatini Cacio e Pepe. - One Dessert
Indulge in the sweetness of the 50th Anniversary Celebration Dessert Grand Marnier Souffle, 5 Magical Bites 50 Years in the Making and more. Or, try the plant-based Lavender Sugar Donuts.
Victoria & Albert’s- Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Victoria & Albert’s is the first place that comes to mind when we want an exclusive, private, fine-dining experience at Walt Disney World. But it’s also the most romantic! It’s the only AAA 5-Diamond restaurant in Walt Disney World and it is only for adults or children 11 and up. The restaurant is quiet, well-appointed, and the service is exquisite. This elegant space is reminiscent of a garden—from its Victorian-themed murals and wallcoverings to the graceful flowers and butterflies that adorn the ceiling.
The menu is a little different from most Walt Disney World options. You choose from 2 tasting menus. There is course after course of exquisite culinary creations, curated by the chef de cuisine. These inspired offerings are crafted from the freshest seasonal ingredients and are artfully prepared using innovative techniques, to ensure an unforgettable evening of dining. The prix-fixe menu begins at $295.00 per Guest. Optional wine pairings start at $150.00 per Guest. Zero-proof pairings start at $110.00 per Guest.
If you really want to wow your partner with an elegant experience, you can try the Chef’s Table at Victoria and Alberts! You are seated in a private area and interact with the chef and culinary team as they prepare a multi-course meal specifically for your dining party at the Chef’s Table. This 3-hour dining experience allows only one party to be seated per evening. The exclusive table can accommodate a minimum of 4 to a maximum of 6 guests. The chef will serve a prix fixe meal of up to 13 courses. A wine pairing option is also available to add, complete with the presence of a sommelier to select the best wines for each course.
The best way to ensure you have a romantic night out on your next trip to Walt Disney World is to have a travel advisor book for you! Dining reservations open at 60 days out and are extremely hard to obtain for any of the options we have listed above.
