The Canadian Filet Mignon served with mushrooms, Boursin Black Truffle & Sea Salt mashed potatoes and a Boursin Black Truffle & Sea Salt whipped butter was delightful. The filet was tender and perfectly cooked, nestled under a truffle butter with mushroom topping and paired with mashed potato was phenomenal but a bit heavy for the scorching temperatures. While I would highly recommend it to everyone attending, it’s definitely an option that I would have enjoyed more on a bit of a cooler day.

Teriyaki Chicken Bun: Steamed Bun filled with Chicken, Vegetables and Teriyaki Sauce

This was an absolute delight; the bun was perfectly steamed and pillowy, and the teriyaki and veggie filling was both plentiful and perfectly seasoned. This is not only a delicious bite, but also an easy one to grab and go as you make your way to the next stop. Bonus points for being a one-handed option so you can sip and snack as you wander the showcase.

Pão de Queijo: Brazilian Cheese Bread

This is a must-order. If you’ve had the secret menu option from Skipper Canteen you’re already familiar with this carby, cheesy treat. Chewy and well seasoned, each bite of the bread is overflowing with melty choose goodness. You’ll soon be wondering where your order went, as it will be an exercise in willpower to not immediately demolish both portions.

Cheddar and Bacon Soup served with a pretzel roll

That’s right, Canada makes our list a second time with this creamy, savory offering. The bacon is the star of this dish, but it doesn’t overpower the rest of the flavors. Paired with a crusty pretzel roll perfect for dipping, I could easily and happily have sat down to a large bowl of this as I daydreamed of a frosty day in the Great White North.

Braised Beef Poutine: French fries with braised beef, Boursin Garlic & Fine Herbs cheese sauce, cheese curds, crumbled Boursin Garlic & Fine Herbs, and gherkin relish

This is hands down the star of the entire festival in my opinion. Perfectly cooked, fresh-cut French fries. Tender braised beef that fell apart with just a look. Cheese curds that were large and plentiful. The gherkin relish? An addition that I didn’t know I needed until I tried it. Altogether it created a perfect bite; think of a phenomenal steakburger and fries and then class it up just a touch, and you’ll have a good idea of the flavor profile in this offering. My absolute can’t miss, worth coming back for a second (or third) choice for best offering of our stroll through the world cuisine of Epcot.
