Disney Vacation Club’s exclusive After Hours event “Moonlight Magic” is coming back better than ever in 2024, as Disney has announced eight different nights next year for the late-night party. “Moonlight Magic” is a private event held exclusively for eligible Disney Vacation Club members & their registered guests, featuring rare character meet & greets, low attraction wait times, unique entertainment, and free snacks/drinks throughout the night. 2024 will feature eight different nights of the event across 5 different Disney parks, including Disney California Adventure Park at the Disneyland Resort alongside Walt Disney World’s EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, & Typhoon Lagoon. The complete lineup, including specific dates & parks, is:

• January 25:  EPCOT
• January 29: Disney California Adventure
• February 27: Disney’s Animal Kingdom
• March 1: EPCOT
• April 23: Disney’s Animal Kingdom
• June 4: Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park
• July 11: Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park
• August 27: Disney’s Hollywood Studios

While event details are subject to change at any time, previous iteration’s of the party included complimentary all-you-can-eat Mickey ice cream bars, cookie ice cream sandwiches, & popcorn, as well as all-you-can drink soda. Some parties – such as the one held at Disney California Adventure Park in Anaheim – even gave party attendee’s free food vouchers redeemable at most Quick Service locations throughout the park.

Outside of the free snacks & food, Moonlight Magic also features unique entertainment such as live DJs, dance parties, or even firework shows, along with rare character meet & greets,such as Duffy Bear or Powerline Max. Character meet & greets change with each party night and are often not announced in advance, meaning each Moonlight Magic event has new surprises around every corner. As it is a limited-capacity event, shorter-than-usual wait times at most theme park attractions can also be expected.

Registration dates for each event have yet to have been announced, but typically occur between 30-90 days before the event start date. Eligible Disney Vacation Club members with a confirmed Disney Resort reservation on the night of the event will have first dibs on reservations the limited-capacity event, followed by all Disney Vacation Club members one week later.

It’s important to note that only event date per park will be available per membership, meaning DVC members with a confirmed reservation for a Moonlight Magic event at Animal Kingdom will not be able to sign up for another Animal Kingdom party, but may sign up for a party at any other park. Members are permitted to bring up to a total of 5 guests to the event, including themselves.
