Disney fans in Europe, rejoice! A ground-breaking new entertainment option is making it’s way to Disneyland Paris in just a few months, and we now have a look at all the incredible details fans can expect when this all-new nighttime spectacular debuts on January 10th, 2025.
The new show – titled “Disney Tales of Magic” – will feature beloved fan-favorite worlds from both Walt Disney Animation Studios & Pixar Animation Studios, seamlessly blended together into a cohesive & beautiful 20-minute show. Disneyland Paris has become notorious recently for breaking barriers with their nighttime spectaculars, including cutting-edge drone shows above the castle and award-winning stage shows over the past decade.
“Disney Tales of Magic” will be no different upon it’s debut in the New Year, as Disney has stated that the spectacular will “blend storytelling and cutting-edge technology into a unique experience found only at Disneyland Paris.” While Disney has yet to release every surprise in store for guests watching the new show, we do know that the spectacular will feature pyrotechnics (fireworks!), fountain displays from in front of the castle, and an “all-encompassing” light package installed specifically for this show that will include:
- 60 brand new ultra-powerful lighting fixtures
- 15 ultra-bright lasers
- All-new LED lightning package
- New immersive audio system
- Immersive projections along Main Street, U.S.A. and Sleeping Beauty Castle
Of course, no nighttime spectacular at Disneyland Paris would be complete without their biggest claim-to-fame: hundreds & hundreds of dancing drones! Just like the features listed above, Disneyland Paris has created a “one-of-a-kind technology display” with their drones for “Disney Tales of Magic,” as this version of the show will utilize the most advanced 3D technologies available for each & every drone portion of the show.
As for the new immersive audio system installed just for this show, Disneyland Paris has also announced that an exclusive soundtrack will debut alongside the nighttime spectacular, featuring over 20 classic Disney Animation & Pixar songs that fans know & love. On top of the classics, “Disney Tales of Magic” will be lead by “Live in Magic,” a brand-new original song created just for the show, performed in both French AND English!
Guests visiting the Disneyland Paris Resort in 2025 will have more surprises awaiting them, too, as Disney has also announced a first-of-its-kind music festival will debut at the resort in the spring & summer of next year. The festival will be titled “Disney Music Festival” and will run from April 19th, 2025 – September 7th 2025. The festival, inspired by the “Fête de la Musique” in downtown France, will allow guests to “discover unforgettable live musical moments of classic and contemporary hits” from both Disney Animation Studios & Pixar Animation Studios, making it the perfect day-time accompaniment to “Disney Tales of Magic” in the evening.
