We called this months ago… At the D23 Expo this year, Disney announced that Monsters University would be coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Many speculated on where it would go. We made predictions that it would replace Muppet*Vision 3D.
“Muppets Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster” wasn’t on our bingo card! Keep reading for more information…
Disney Parks fans, the rumors are true! Today, Disney officially confirmed that the Muppets will be making a splashy move to Sunset Boulevard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, taking over the iconic Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster for a brand-new attraction featuring their signature brand of humor and chaotic charm.
The reimagined ride marks a historic first for Disney Parks: the Muppets’ very own attraction, blending their comedic energy with thrilling coaster technology. Guests can expect plenty of laughs, original music tracks crafted just for the experience, and a treasure trove of Muppets-themed merchandise to round out their visit to Sunset Boulevard.
Before this exciting transformation begins, fans will still have time to enjoy two beloved experiences: Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith and MuppetVision 3D*, both of which will have final curtain calls in the months ahead. Disney has also shared that they are exploring ways to preserve key elements from these fan-favorite attractions to honor their legacy and delight future generations.
Stay tuned for more details as the Muppets gear up to bring their zany antics to life in a whole new way at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
