We called this months ago… At the D23 Expo this year, Disney announced that Monsters University would be coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Many speculated on where it would go. We made predictions that it would replace Muppet*Vision 3D.
Today, Disney confirmed that to be true. Not just that, they will be moving the Muppets over to Sunset Blvd to retheme Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster to a Muppets attraction.
The Muppets will bring their signature humor and energy to the first-ever Disney ride featuring them, complete with laughs, thrills, new music, and themed merchandise on Sunset Boulevard.
Before the transition, fans can still enjoy Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith and Muppet*Vision 3D before their final curtain calls. Disney is exploring ways to preserve elements of these experiences for future enjoyment.
