When I was 24, we took my daughter to Walt Disney World for her first visit—and mine too! Seeing Cinderella Castle for the first time and experiencing the magic was nothing short of breathtaking. As we walked into Magic Kingdom during my favorite season, Halloween, I was greeted with Mickey-shaped pumpkins and enchanting autumn décor. Overwhelmed with emotion, I found myself in tears, swept away by the wonder of it all.

Years later, we returned to the parks as a family of five. On a particularly warm day, while the older kids braved Splash Mountain, my youngest and I escaped the heat on Pirates of the Caribbean. Earlier that day, my boys had picked up pirate swords (naturally!). As we boarded the boat, just the two of us, my little one raised his tiny sword high and declared, “I’m gonna protect you from the pirates, Mama!” And with fierce determination, he did!

Moments like these, filled with joy and love, are why I fell head over heels for helping others plan their dream vacations. Seeing families create their own magical memories became my passion—and my purpose.

For the past eight years, I’ve been your go-to guide for all things theme parks, from the latest merchandise to breaking news, as part of Theme Park Professor, a project brought to life with the help of an incredible team of writers I’m proud to call friends.
