Fantasyland

If your family is visiting during the holiday season, guests can experience the joyful transformation. Just the façade of “it’s a small world” Holiday is spectacular. But when you set sail on the attraction, you will be immersed in the sights and sounds of the season from around the world.

Matterhorn Bobsleds: If you have a family full of thrill seekers, this is the attraction for you. What makes this attraction unique, is that you can only experience the Matterhorn Bobsleds at the Disneyland Resort. No other Disney park has the same attraction, which makes this a one-of-a-kind. It’s filled with drops, stops, speed, and an Abominable Snowman. This one will be a little too intense if you have little ones in your party.

Adventureland-

If your family is seeking adventure, then this is the right place. This land has “wildlife” and excitement around every turn.

Jungle Cruise: Full of laughs, exotic sights, and the back side of water, this river cruise is sure to tickle the funny bone. With your skipper as your guide, you’ll embark on a journey of sights and sounds of the “wildlife”. All ages can enjoy this fun-filled attraction.

Indiana Jones Adventure: Adventure awaits for the adventurous families and fans of the Indiana Jones films. Hang on tight, this fast-paced thrill attraction takes you into a cursed temple. Just don’t look into the Forbidden Eye, unless you want to seal your doom! Keep in mind, this attraction isn’t like your normal thrill ride. You and your family will board a ride vehicle as it simulates driving over rough terrain and sharp and sudden turns.

New Orleans Square-

This area of the Disneyland Park is especially unique as it is not in any other Disney parks around the world. Home to pirates, ghouls, and delicious beignets, New Orleans Square has something for everyone in your family.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Your adventure begins when you board your ride boat on what seems like a gentle cruise through the bayou. But not all is as it seems. Next you’re plunging into waters and come upon a Pirates Grotto. The adventure doesn’t stop there. You and your family will catch yourselves in the middle of a cannon battle and see these pirates pillage and plunder, leaving a fiery town in their midst.

This attraction has no height requirement, but does take place mostly in the dark and has a couple of small drops. It can also be loud for little ones in your group. And you might get wet on your journey! Yo ho and enjoy!

Haunted Mansion: This slow dark ride takes you on a spooky journey through a haunted estate. From the iconic stretching room, through Madame Leota’s séance room, overlook a haunted ballroom filled with spooks, through the attic and onto the cemetery where these ghost will delight you with a jaunty tune. No worries, if you happen to have little ones with you, the spooks are mild and this attraction is slow moving.

The Haunted Mansion also gets a holiday overlay where Jack Skellington and some of his friends from “The Nightmare Before Christmas” film bring their Christmas to the mansion. This attraction transforms into Haunted Mansion Holiday for the Halloween and Holiday season at the resort.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad: This coaster-style attraction will take you through a past time of the gold rush, but be careful, not is all as it seems. With some out of this world attractions, families can experience some far out fun in a world of tomorrow.

Star Tours – The Adventure Continues: Grab your 3D glasses and make the jump to hyperspace with Star Tours. The Star Wars fans in your family will love this attraction. What makes Star Tours especially unique is that you never know what adventure lies ahead, so each time you board your “Starspeeder” a series of different scenarios from various Star Wars stories will appear before you. And now you can even encounter Ahsoka Tano, Cassian Andor, and even the Mandolorian with Grogu. This thrilling attraction takes place in the dark and has some loud sounds and small drops.

Space Mountain: Take an out of this world journey through the cosmos with this thrilling coaster ride in the dark. Countdown to lift off and hold on tight through small drops and sharps turns and twists. In your rocket, you’ll speed off faster and faster to fun and exciting music. If you have a family of brave thrill seekers, then this is the attraction for you! Keep in mind, this fast-paced coaster takes place in the dark and the music and sounds could be too loud for some riders.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge-

If you need more space and more Star Wars, head on over to Galaxy’s Edge to live out your Star Wars Adventure.

Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run: Board the iconic Millennium Falcon and embark on a journey to help pirate and outlaw, Hondo Ohnaka. He’s looking for a flight crew to transport some items for him, but it won’t be easy. You and your family will be randomly selected to participate as a pilot, engineer, or gunner. Each role is crucial to the mission and will depend on your skills to succeed.

This dark motion simulated attraction has some sounds that might be too loud for young ones. Smugglers Run also has some small drops and is a thrill attraction.

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance: Rise of the Resistance is an innovative attraction unlike anything you’ve ever experienced. Get ready to join the Resistance in a battle against the First Order. When your ride transport gets captured by the First Order, it’s up to you with the help of a team of Resistance fighters to escape. You’ll encounter Storm Troopers and even Kylo Ren, so be on the lookout and May the Force Be With You.

Rise of the Resistance has a trackless ride vehicle and is a truly one-of-a-kind experience. This attraction has some loud sounds, small drops and thrilling sequences. This attraction also tends to be very popular and wait times could be a bit lengthy. For a shorter wait time, families may want to consider purchasing an individual Lightning Lane entry for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.

Mickey’s Toontown-

Step into a playful world with all of your favorite characters and experience the fun of Disney animation.

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway: This attraction puts you right into a Mickey Mouse short, but when the unexpected happens, you and your family will be in for a surprise. With Goofy as your railway conductor, things take a fun and wild adventure in an animated setting. But just like all Mickey Mouse shorts, all is well in the end and will have you wanting to come back and ride the attraction more and more!

Bayou Country-

Formerly Critter Country, this area of the park is now home to the new Tiana’s Bayou Adventure!

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure: Princess Tiana invites guests on a thrilling water adventure that has thrills for the whole family. Your musical adventure has fun twists and turns, plus a 50 foot drop! And you may get wet. Then join Tiana and her friends for a bayou celebration!
