Resort Overview
The resort opened in 1991, as one of the first Disney Vacation Club Resorts, and was renamed in 1996, to Disney’s Old Key West Resort. This resort is quite large and includes 49 buildings with nearly 800 guest units. The theme is reminiscent of the Florida Keys, with tropical vibes surrounding you. There are palm trees, vibrant architecture, sandcastles, and golf courses all around and it’s as though you have walked into paradise!

Pools
The feature pool at Disney’s Old Key West Resort is the Sandcastle Pool. Located near the Hospitality House, this pool takes you away to the Florida Keys. It features a 125-foot-long waterslide through a giant sandcastle and a kiddie pool for little ones. There is also a whirlpool spa to sit and relax after a day at the parks.
There are three other leisure pools throughout the resort located in the Old Turtle Pond, South Point, and Miller’s Road areas of the resort. There are whirlpool spas at each of these as well.
Complimentary towels are provided at all pools.
Movies Under the Stars
Watch your favorite Disney films at the complimentary outdoor screenings, located by the Sandcastle Pool deck. Check with the front desk for a full schedule.
Conch Flats Community Hall
At the Community Hall, enjoy complimentary foosball, pool, video games, ping pong, and more. You can also sign out tennis racquets, basketballs, shuffleboard equipment and grilling items.
Basketball Courts
There is a basketball court located near the Hospitality House. Complimentary basketballs are available from Hank’s Rent ‘N Return to all guests with a valid resort ID.
Volleyball
A game of beach volleyball awaits on the court near the Hospitality House. Complimentary volleyballs are available from Hank’s Rent ‘N Return to all guests with a valid resort ID.
Tennis
There are two lighted tennis courts located near the main pool and the third one on Old Turtle Pond Road. Complimentary racquets and tennis balls are available from Hank’s Rent ‘N Return to all guests staying at Disney’s Old Key West Resort.
Jogging
Enjoy the views as you jog along the 1.37-mile-long path along canals and golf course fairways.
Bike Rentals

Electric Eel Gameroom & Flying Fish Gameroom
With a variety of games for all ages, there is something for everyone at this arcade. You can race cars, play your favorite sports, have a dance-off, and more. You can go head-to-head with a friend or family member or just try for your own high score.
Game cards must be purchased to play. Game points are added using cash or a credit card and the game cards are rechargeable. In addition, these game cards can be used at other Walt Disney World Resort arcades.
The Electric Eel Gameroom is located near the Hospitality House and Flying Fish Gameroom is near Turtle Shack Poolside Snacks.

- Magic Kingdom: There are free resort buses that offer transportation to the Magic Kingdom. These buses run approximately every 20 minutes from the resort until an hour after the park closes. In the event of inclement weather, buses will be provided.
- EPCOT: There are free resort buses that offer transportation to EPCOT. These buses run approximately every 20 minutes from the resort until an hour after the park closes.
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios: There are free resort buses that offer transportation to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. These buses run approximately every 20 minutes from the resort until an hour after the park closes.
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom: There are free resort buses that offer transportation to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. These buses run approximately every 20 minutes from the resort until an hour after the park closes.
- Disney Springs and Water Parks: There are free resort buses that offer transportation to Disney Springs and the water parks nearly every 20 minutes from the resort. Buses typically run for an hour after Disney Springs or the water park close. Complimentary water taxis are also available to Disney Springs.
Parking
*Guests who drive either their own vehicle or a rental car to Walt Disney World should know that a standard overnight self-parking fee of $25 per night will be applied to the guest hotel folio upon check-out. Valet parking is available for $33 per night. Complimentary standard self-parking is available while you enjoy select dining, shopping, entertainment, and recreation experiences at this resort.
