Beginning this week, the Walt Disney World Resort has announced open bookings for the Polynesian Resort’s new Island Tower!
The brand new 10-story tower is slated to open December 17, 2024. And each room is adorned with stunning artwork, inspired by the Polynesian Islands. Also each room will feature a custom pieces inspired by Disney’s animated film, “Moana”.
The Island Tower is located at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, which is a Disney Vacation Club property. Being such, means that no amenity will be missed, and your stay will feature all the just-like-home qualities that only Disney can provide.
If you’re bringing the whole family, the Island tower features a few different options to accommodate however many are in your travel party.
One of these accommodations being the brand new Disney Vacation Club Two-Bedroom Penthouse Villas. This gorgeous villa can fit up to eight and has stunning views of the Seven Seas Lagoon and Magic Kingdom from a patio balcony. And inside, guests can expect a spacious living room.
The new tower will also feature One- & Two-Bedroom Villas. These villas are perfect for the entire family. Depending if your party choose one or two bedrooms, the villa can fit five and up to nine guests. The villa has all the comforts at home, including: a kitchen with full-size appliances, dining area, washer & dryer, and outside patio area.
For families of four, the Island Tower presents Sensational Studios. The deluxe studios are perfect for families of four and has a Disney Vacation Club first, a dishwasher! The studio will also have a quaint seating area just across from the kitchenette.
For those looking for a more romantic getaway at Disney’s Polynesian Resort, the Island Tower features The Perfect Stay for Two. This more intimate studio is bright and airy and the perfect destination for two.
Not only does the Island Tower boast stunning views and gorgeous designs, it’s also helping Disney in its sustainable efforts. The sustainable design assists in Disney’s 2030 environmental goals. One perfect example of this, is the beautiful rugs and carpets in the villas, which are made from mostly recycled plastic bottles!

Booking for Walt Disney World Annual Passholders begins on June 5th and all guests can book beginning June 6th.
