When should I book my Walt Disney World reservation?

There really isn’t a slow time of year to visit the parks anymore. But, during Epcot festivals, holidays, and school breaks Walt Disney World resorts can fill up fast. The sooner you plan, the more options you will have available. Especially with all of the new updates coming later in 2020, and 2021! You will want to make sure your reservation is booked to see that beautiful castle when shes completed.

Dining reservations begin to book 180 days before you are due to arrive for your reservation. Guests who book onsite also have the advantage of being able to book dining for their entire stay all at once. This gives you an advantage over guests not staying on property. You will have the opportunity to grab “hard to get” dining reservations like Cinderella’s Royal Table, Be Our Guest, Chef Mickey’s, and more!

You are able to make changes or cancellations up to 31 days before you check-in without penalty. So, book with your travel advisor early! You can have those hard to get rooms already booked and when the new promotions come out, you will be able to apply them without issue. Resorts rooms will sell out quickly if you wait until the day a promotion is released to book.

Right now is actually the best time to book your fall/winter packages for 2020. There will be great promotions offered for that time of year and if you book now, you’ll have your resort room reserved already when they do.

When should I book my Disneyland reservation?

Disneyland is a lot different than Walt Disney World. Dining can only be booked 60 days out and FastPasses are booked the day of, instead of before arrival. There are also only two parks to visit while you are there. There are also only three official Disney resorts for Disneyland as well. This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t plan far out for your Disneyland vacation though. It’s actually quite the opposite. Disneyland resort rooms book up very fast and have limited availability the longer you wait to book. Popular times of the year will book up very fast at Disneyland and because you only have three resorts to choose from, you may end up having to book off property if you wait.

Working with a travel advisor is the best way to make sure you have your plans set for your vacation. Disneyland is one of my favorite places to visit, but it still needs planning to make sure you are going to enjoy the vacation, just like Walt Disney World.

When should I book my Disney Cruise Line Reservation?

It is even more important to book your Disney Cruise far in advance! Disney Cruise Line gives you the option to book very far in advance. Even further than Disney Resort packages. Current offers for Disney Cruise Lines are already open through 2021! Unlike other cruise lines, Disney doesn’t offer “last minute” deals on their sailings. The lowest offer you will get is when they are announced and open to book. Due to the limited sailing availability, you have to get your reservations early with Disney Cruise Line. Right now is actually the best time to book a future Disney Cruise. You will see great rates offered for the end of 2020 and 2021!
