‘Tis the season to start feeling jolly because tomorrow, November 9th, is the first night of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! This separately ticketed holiday event runs select nights from November 9th, to December 22nd at Magic Kingdom Park in Walt Disney World. If you are looking for some holiday cheer, keep reading to see what Mickey has planned!
Seasonal Snacks
At the party, you can enjoy a variety of cookie flavors and hot cocoa! There are designated locations for the different flavors, and allergen-friendly options are available. In the past, there has also been hot apple cider and eggnog! I’m not sure what the flavors will be this year, but they have previously had snickerdoodle, sugar cookie, chocolate chip, and a butter cream frosted gingerbread!
Exclusive Food and Beverage
There will be seasonal food and drink offerings that will only be available at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. I can’t wait to try the Reindeer Chow Sundae and Holiday Turkey Burger! Everything looks so good. For more information on the exclusive food and beverage offerings, check out our Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Food Guide.
Festive Entertainment
There are so many holiday inspired things to see at this party! Don’t miss the “snow” flurries on Main Street, U.S.A, but I wouldn’t try catching them on your tongue! You can also see Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks from most spots in the park, and no party would be complete without a parade. Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade will start along Main Street, U.S.A feature Disney pals and even Santa! At Cinderella Castle, there will be a castle show and a festive dance party including the Disney Junior Jingle Jam.
Merry Attractions
Some of the open attractions will have a special holiday overlay, Space Mountain included! My favorite is the Jingle Cruise. Because this separately ticketed event has a limited capacity, many attractions may have a shorter wait time than normal park days. Pro tip: the attractions typically have shorter wait times the later it gets!
Specially Dressed Characters
Many of your favorite characters will be dressed in their Christmas best for this party! This is a great time to get family photos for the holiday season and visit with all your Disney pals. There will even be a Santa Goofy and a Santa Claus available for pictures. You may even spy some special visitors from Halloween Town like the Pumpkin King, Jack Skellington and Sally. Maybe even go quackers, and get a picture with Scrooge McDuck.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is going to be a holly jolly time, so grab your family and friends and get tickets before they sell out! This event is the best way to celebrate the season, and for even more fun book a stay at Fort Wilderness! Guests decorate their cabins and golf carts and light display.
