Two brand new Universal Orlando Resorts located directly adjacent to the upcoming Universal Epic Universe have received their official opening dates today. Universal Stella Nova Resort will grand open on January 21st, 2025, while it’s sister hotel, Universal Terra Luna Resort, will be just one month behind, grand opening on February 25th, 2025.

While Universal Epic Universe is not expected to be open until “Summer 2025,” according to Universal, these opening dates mark the first official opening of the overall Epic Universe expansion plot that Universal has constructed just a few miles southeast of the current property. The earlier-than-expected hotel openings also hint at a potential earlier timeline for an Epic Universe opening, although nothing has been confirmed (or even heavily rumored) at this point besides the previously-stated “Summer 2025.”

As is the case with Universal Orlando’s current eight on-site hotels, both Universal Stella Nova Resort & Universal Terra Luna Resort will be co-owned & operated by Loews Hotels & Co. According to Universal, each hotel will feature 750 guest rooms in the resort’s Prime Value category – alongside fan-favorite hotels Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort & Universal’s Aventura Resort. Neither hotel will feature any suites – all 1,500 rooms across both hotels will be 2 queen rooms sleeping up to 4 people – either standard or pool view.

Per the Loews website featuring the two new resorts, “Universal Stella Nova Resort is inspired by distant galaxies, new stars and mysterious black holes, while Universal Terra Luna Resort is inspired by the massive and diverse planetary elements of the universe.”

Both hotels will each feature their own unique resort-style pool, fitness center, game room, & unique dining locations, among other amenities. The dining locations will feature multiple quick service restaurants, coffee bars with grab-and-go items, pool bar and grills, and in-room pizza delivery.

Just like the other Universal Orlando properties, guests can take advantage of exclusive theme park benefits while staying at either of the two hotels – including Early Park Admission, allowing guests to access one of the three (soon-to-be four) amazing theme parks up to an hour before park opening. Other resort perks include complimentary transportation to and from all four parks & Universal CityWalk, resort-wide charging privileges, and more.

Universal Stella Nova Resort and Universal Terra Luna Resort will be 2 of 3 total hotels coming to the Epic Universe expansion plot. The third – Universal Grand Helios Hotel – will be located inside the theme park itself, & has yet to announce an opening date and/or hotel details. Both Stella Nova & Terra Luna are available for booking on the Loews website as of this writing.
