As you know, a trip to Disney World is a big deal. Once you are there, you may not want to dine on park foods all day. You may even have park-free days (something I highly suggest by the way). You may even want a nice meal with your significant other or family. Or perhaps you are on a work trip and want to have a meal alone. That being said, I have found the 10 best steaks in all of Walt Disney World. This list is in no particular order and by the time you are done reading this I am sure you will be hungry!
Coming in at #10 is Sear + Sea
Sear + Sea is a Michelin star spot people are raving about. It is located at JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort & Spa. They have numerous steak options that range from a 16 oz flat iron to a whopping 38 oz tomahawk ribeye.
#9: Shula’s
Located at Disney’s Dolphin Resort, Shula’s is owned and named after former football coach Don Shula comes this “clubby” award-winning restaurant. Decorated after his famed and the only NFL team to have a perfect season, he has what’s called “Perfect Season, Perfect Steaks”. I would suggest Coach’s Cut Prime Rib or the filet mignon. For an additional charge, you can add one of these delicious sauces to your steak: bearnaise sauce, hollandaise sauce, Horseradish cream, beurre Blanc, Sauce Choron, Chimichurri or Au Poivre Sauce.
#8: California Grill
Located at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, California Grill celebrates California’s market cuisine and has one of the best dining views. You take a private elevator to the 15th floor where you then have views of The Seven Seas Lagoon and Magic Kingdom. This three-course dining experience has steak offerings such as wagyu strip loin or the Oak-grilled filet of beef. Yum!
#7: Ale & Compass located at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
Ale & Compass is inspired by New England comfort and seafood. Their best steak option is a mouthwatering N.Y. Strip steak with maître d butter, truffle Fries, house-made steak sauce, and watercress salad. They had me at truffle fries! I also suggest finishing off your meal with the twelve-layer chocolate cake.
#6: Maya Grill located at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
Maya Grill at Coronado Springs Resort features a large dining room that combines ancient and modern design with Nuevo Latin cuisine. They have a shareable family-style entrée: Carne Asada 22 oz NY strip steak, topped with chipotle and chimichurri butter accompanied with Papas Brava, broccolini, and grilled knob onion. Or you can opt for the steak quesadilla as your main entrée. Both options are super delicious and filling!
#5: Yachtman’s Steakhouse
Yachtman’s Steakhouse is another spot located at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. Here you can find New England-style seafood and premium steaks. Upscale attire is the standard at this Disney fine dining experience. Yachtsman’s offers four delicious steak options ranging from a filet to a ribeye. All have the option of adding on “Oscar style”, half Maine lobster, or a flight of sauces. Many suggest ending your meal with the Yachtsman Signature Chocolate Cake.
#4: STK
STK is located at Disney Springs. If you want a fun and upbeat vibe, this is your spot. They have a DJ, a rooftop terrace, and an indoor fire pit. This steakhouse is two stories high and over 14,000 square feet. The cool thing about this spot is they offer a late-night menu and brunch on the weekends! They have well over a dozen steak options. My top two options are the 16 oz Cowgirl bone-in ribeye and the 14 oz dry-aged Delmonico.
#3: Le Cellier
Le Cellier located in Epcot. This spot requires a parking ticket and is well worth it. Located in Canada, this steakhouse is themed after wine cellars like grand chateau-style hotels like Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac and Fairmont Chateau Laurier. They are famous for their Le Cellier filet mignon which is a AAA Canadian Tenderloin, Mushroom Risotto, Pomodoraccio Tomato, and Truffle Butter Sauce. They also have three other delicious beef options. I recommend adding on some Poutine and then their maple crème brulee for dessert.
#2: The Boathouse
The Boathouse located in Disney Springs and might be my favorite dining spot in all of Walt Disney World. Located on the waterfront in Disney Springs and has some cocktails worthy of social media pics! The reason it is my favorite is because my seafood-loving husband can devour his favorite things and the chefs are very accommodating to my shellfish allergy. They have over a handful of steak options such as a T-bone or boneless ribeye. However, my favorite is their NY strip atop a wedge or Caesar salad.
#1: Steakhouse 71
#1 is last but most certainly not least: Steakhouse 71! Located at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, this is such a family-friendly restaurant with honors and nods to Walt Disney himself with fun 70’s ‘s-themed décor. Over six steak options with delicious side options such as charred asparagus, mac n cheese, and gratin potatoes. While you are there, I recommend the sunset margaritas.
Well, that is the top 10! Do you agree? Which one is your favorite?!
