Prospective owners for the upcoming The Villas at Disneyland Resort received good news on Tuesday as Disney finally released new membership details for the upcoming new hotel. The Villas at Disneyland Resort are the newest resort to join the Disney Vacation Club (DVC) lineup & the second such resort in California, joining The Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Resort & Spa, which opened in 2007.

In February of this year, Disney announced that the Villas at Disneyland Resort would open to guests on September 28th, 2023. However, no details on membership were announced as curiosity continued to grow among DVC fans, owners, & general Disney fans alike. Currently, room bookings (beginning Sept. 28th) have been available via cash rates only.

However, we now have in-depth details straight from Disney on new memberships at the upcoming resort. Current DVC owners who are wishing to add-on to their current membership with a membership at The Villas at Disneyland Resort may begin purchasing on May 2nd, 2023. New owners who wish to purchase a membership at The Villas who do not currently own with Disney Vacation Club can purchase beginning on May 30th, 2023. For current members who purchase an add-on, hotel bookings with points will begin on May 16th, 2023 (as stated above, only cash bookings are currently available to book). For current DVC members who do NOT choose to purchase at The Villas at Disneyland Hotel, hotel bookings with points (from other contracts) will be available for booking on July 27th, 2023.

The current sale price is $230 per point (which is a one-time payment that covers the lifetime of the contract) with annual dues beginning at $9.06 per point, which is a yearly cost due each January. As is the case with any real estate purchase, a closing cost fee is also assessed with each purchase. Closing cost prices will vary by purchase. Members wishing to purchase (or add-on) must buy a minimum of 50 points, but it’s worth noting that Disney Vacation Club currently requires members to own at least 150 points to receive full membership benefits (such as Moonlight Magic parties, DVC lounge’s, discounts, & more).

Point charts per night for 2023 (Sept 28th-December 31st) & the entirety of 2023 were also announced by Disney today. Duo Studios (sleeps 2) range from 13 points a night during opening weekend to 27 points during peak season, which is weekends around Thanksgiving & Christmas. Deluxe Studios (sleeps 4) range from 17 points to 34 points a night, while One- & Two-Bedroom Villas range from 36 points to 92 points a night. The Villas at Disneyland Resort also has a pair of Grand 3-Bedroom Villas, which begin at 120 points a night.

Membership deeds for The Villas at Disneyland Resort will expire on February 1st, 2074. You can view the full point charts as well as request additional information from Disney at DisneyVacationClub.com.
