Universal Studios Hollywood has announced a brand new stunt spectacular will debut at it’s park later this month, titled “The Faull Guy Stuntacular Pre-Show.” Based on the upcoming Universal Pictures action film “The Fall Guy,” the show will take place daily prior to the popular “WaterWorld” stunt show inside Universal Studios Hollywood, from April 27th until May 19th. The live show will be produced by production company 87North Productions. “The Fall Guy,” starring Oscar^® nominees Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt and from blockbuster director David Leitch, officially opens in theatres nationwide on May 3rd.

According to Universal, “this all-new, exclusive entertainment performance features an original storyline designed to provide an entertaining peek behind the curtain of how stunt performances are designed and brought to life, while celebrating the artistry of the film industry’s unsung heroes – the stunt performers.”

87North Productions, the producer of the new show, is a world-renowned production and action design company founded by Leitch and producer Kelly McCormick, who are the force behind films such as “Fast & Furious Present: Hobbs & Shaw,” “Deadpool 2,” “Bullet Train,” & “John Wick.” “We make movies to give audiences an experience, and what better way to amplify 87North’s brand of action storytelling than to evolve into live events,” said director David Leitch. “We are so thankful to our partners at Universal who embraced our ideas and gave us the platform to do something really fun and immersive with “The Fall Guy.”

“The Fall Guy Stuntacular Pre-Show” will utilize the existing “WaterWorld” set at the park and will feature dynamic new stunts never before seen at Universal Studios Hollywood.

To coincide with the debut of the new show, an exclusive “The Fall Guy” photo op will also be available within Universal Studios Hollywood. Beginning on May 3rd, guests and moviegoers will be able to enjoy a double dose of the franchise by attending “The Fall Guy Stuntacular Pre-Show” and then seeing the film in style at Universal Cinema inside Universal Studios CityWalk.

As for the film itself, “The Fall Guy” is about a former stuntman who is drafted back into service when the star of a mega-budget studio movie goes missing. The film is inspired by the hit 1980s TV series of the same name & also features actor’s Winston Duke, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Stephanie Hsu, & Hannah Waddingham. It is produced by 87North’s Kelly McCormick and David Leitch, Guymon Casady and Ryan Gosling.
